History of our firm:

Harvey B. Heafitz was graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and received his juris doctorate from Suffolk University Law School. After five years with a general practice firm, Attorney Heafitz founded his own firm in 1978 with the goal of maintaining a practice serving the construction industry. Patrick J. Sullivan joined the firm in 1984. The firm became known as Heafitz & Sullivan in 1994. Together, Attorneys Heafitz and Sullivan bring over 50 years experience providing effective representation to clients in connection with public and private construction, contract and related commercial matters.

James G. Grillo, a graduate of the civil engineering program at Rutgers University, joined the Firm in the Spring of 2000, following a judicial clerkship and two years of commercial litigation experience. Scott K. Semple joined the Firm as an associate in the Fall of 2008 after completing his education at Boston College School of Law.

Heafitz & Sullivan has maintained relationships for the working life of many of our clients. In fact, some of our clients have been with the firm for 20 or more years. The Firm strives to be at the leading edge of construction related issues, has brought numerous cases of first impression to the Courts of the Commonwealth and has been involved with a number of landmark decisions on construction related issues.
